The Gleanntan Slide
I normally play slides with this held-chord type bass line and would probably have picked up the idea from hearing Steve Cooney accompanying slides and polkas. The beauty of these tunes is that the melody is usually simple and very rhythmic, which allows a little more freedom on the bass hand.
